IMHO, there are 2 theories available to me.
1] Terrorist attack before the 4th of July
a] Americans have a short memory [as a culture, due to a liberal mass media] and we would forget about an attack on or before the 4th of July. this would allow katsup-boy to play to the media with finger pointing and accusing the President of allowing this to happen.
2] Terrorist attack after the 4th of July
a] This would almost guarantee the President would be reelected, as the public would rally around our country & President.
I would hope & pray that such an event would never happen again, but I know that our enemies are too darned determined to kill us all. So we have to get them before they come after us here.

There is an element to this that none have considered. While I too believe that an attack would rally people to the President, it would probably tank the U.S. economy in a big way, at least in the short term. The DOW would probably much of it's value almost overnight and economic uncertainty and chaos would ensue. In such a situation, it's hard to predict who the voters would blame.

Agree, but I think the before/after date is 9/1.

It's Bush's fault. When did Bush know? Why didn't he do something about it?
