I received the above anonymous spam mail today. I checked on the Congressional website (Thomas) and discovered these are the draft bills introduced by the Democrats last year.

It's scary how low the Democrats are willing to stoop.

I keep having re-occurring nightmares about being drafted and sent to Iraq (not joking) ... it's pretty tough on this 53 year old Vietnam Vet .... HOWEVER .... if they needed me that bad .... I WOULD go ... even with my bad knee, my gout, and my hard earned beer gut

Hey, I think I'll pass this off to a couple of Democrat friends under the title "See What Your Buddy Charles Rangel And The Democrats Did To Your Kids?"

I'll add that if they're nice to me I'll have my buddy George W veto the thing. Ought to be good for a couple of laughs. Mine.

Hey, what the heck, it's Monday...if I play my cards right I'll have the Zoloft and Prozac concession around here...

The possibility of mandatory drafting for boys and girls (age 18-26) starting June 15, 2005, is something, I believe, everyone should know.

The possibility of mandatory drafting for all citizens age 9 to ninety starting tomorrow is something, I believe, everyone should know. The possibility is zero.

Why do think it's a hoax? Unless you just mean the timing. The bills are real.

Thomas

Type in HR 163 or SB 89 and read.

Just looked up both bills. Sponsors are democrats (Hollings and Rangel), and are mired in committee. There are no cosponsors for Hollings bill, and 13 (all democrats, I think) for the Rangel bill. The usual suspects there, including Baghdad Jim McDermott and Sheila Jackson Lee.

This is really hateful.
