"If you would REALLY like me to post crude pictures I can. "

No, I wouldn't like that at all. I don't need to see them. My point is that you posted pictures of people doing perfectly innocuous things. That doesn't make any point at all.

I'm so pleased that I have you around to critique my posts. Whatever would I do without you?!

Well, most everything I have seen that was taken over by LIBERALS goes to hell in a hand basket, including the democRATic party.

When will they learn that only a small microcosm of America wants anything they have to offer?

Turn it over to a liberal, and you can kiss it goodbye...

You are correct. Gay Day(s) are from June 2 - June 7 with Saturday June 5th being THE day.

Father's Day is Sunday, June 20th. (My fault for not researching what I heard elsewhere.)

"Mr. [Michael] Eisner incorporated his own agenda--one that is distinctly at odds with the family values image carefully nurtured by founder Walt Disney. "

What can you expect from one of King william of Monica's buddies?

We jut got back from Disney and my husband and I remarked many many times on the number of gay employees and the feeling that gay days started early this year.

I would not visit these properties until at least six months following Gay Days or after they douse the whole park with bleach.

Actually it is the sitting President who gets a few words. This year it was W. speaking. They introduced each President and, when they got to W., I was ready to out cheer anyone who booed...thankfully he got a nice round of applause and our cheers were added to the mix. He makes a short speech in his real voice.

If she can prove this, why doesn't she sue Disney.

Because Disney employs many high priced lawyers who know how to drag out a lawsuit over many years. Unless you have a lot of determination and hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for your own legal fees, it usually isn't worth it for most people to sue a large corporation like Disney.

I went to Disney World once.
It sucked.
Too many gay boat rides.

"What control? Are they adults, these employees?"

I would presume for the most part they are. Nevertheless, this is Disney owned property. One would think a company the size of Disney would be well aware of the liability of letting stuff like this go on.

"Should Disney be in the business of telling their employees what sexual activities they can indulge in when not on the job?"

Disney certainly has a right to restrict such things on their own property, particularly if they have made certain promises to someone before hiring them.

My question is:

Why should we have to? Families like mine used to schedule our vacations around OUR plans, not some shrieking activism agenda.

I suppose you can still do that. I don't think Disney World is refusing to sell tickets on those dates. But...I generally plan family vacations after doing a little research on the destination for the period. For example, I switched destinations once, after finding out that the hotel I had planned to go to was having a big convention that week. We went somewhere else. Nothing worse than a bunch of conventioneers running around loose in a hotel. You just never know what will happen when a convention's in town. All that drinking and sexual activity. Only thing worse would be a Shriner's convention.

You don't hear many people just 'droppin drawers' and going at it, just to taunt someone's religious beliefs.

I have no problem at all believing her story! I'm basing this on several things, including but not limited to:

o My witnessing of a Gay Shame (oops, that should be "Pride") parade in San Fran in June of 1994. Have you ever witnessed one of these up close?

o The antics of many participants a few weeks ago in the DC "March Of Death" (oops, I meant "Women's Reproductive Rights"). The firsthand accounts were all posted here on FR. Did you read how they treated that priest? They mimed sexual acts, grabbed their crotches, yelled the filthiest stuff at that priest - all with cops standing right there (protecting the Freepers and pro-Life groups). Do you think for a minute that if the cops were absent, they would not have hesitated to shed clothes and make the simulated sex acts a lot more realistic?

MAN!! It's sad how little people know about the dark side of the homosexual movement. TV seems to have done a really thorough job of completely filtering out any negative gay behavior and making the Christians all look like fascists!

I haven't been back to Disney World in several years..but it is my understanding that now in the "Hall of Presidents" exhibit, patrons are not treated to a short speech by Abraham Lincoln toward the end of the presentation but instead are forced to listen to a speech by Michael Eisner's good buddy, President Bill Clinton

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that whomever the current president is has a speaking role. When I was there in Spring of '01, the attraxction was shut down. The employee told me that they were in the process of syncronizing Bush's message to his snimitronic charcter.

if Disney didn't have control over it then why didn't they go after at least their image which has been trademarked for a century?

Exactly! And I don't believe for a moment that they're just hand-wringingly helpless to do anything about Gay Week at their park. They are not a public facility like, say, a city park is. They have complete authority to toss out anyone who does not conform to behavioral standards which they themselves choose to set.

All they have to do to get rid of Gay Week is hire extra security personnel for that week, and enforce some strict set of behavioral rules.

They're trying to have their cake and eat it too. They want the Gay dollars and the money from Christian families alike. Eventually as the word spreads among families, they'll find they can NOT have it both ways.
