Wanted to share the following with you, will be going to the game and of course, bringing items and cheering for our Military :-)

MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY AT SHEA 5/23/04

Join the New York Mets as we host Military Appreciation Day
at Shea Stadium. We encourage all of our fans to
bring items which will be collected into a large "care package"
that will be sent to our troops serving overseas.

We need your participation to make this a great day and
have provided a list of acceptable items to include in
the package from the Mets and our fans:

International Phone Cards
Pens - Black or Blue
Envelopes
Baby Wipes
Hand Sanitizers
Deodorant - non melting
Toothpaste and Brushes
Q-Tips
Disposable Cameras
Batteries of all sizes
Black boot socks
Chap stick w/sunscreen

Your donations and efforts will go directly to:
Second Battalion, Second Marines

The 2d Battalion, 2d Marines, a unit of 1200 Marines, are
currently stationed in Iraq, where they have been since
March of 2003 to reinforce Coalition Forces during
Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. This distinguished group has been
recognized for its meritorious service in the defense of our nation.

Hi-

I cant make it to the Mets game, are you going to be a O'Lunnys tonight? I would like to drop off a few things on the list, but only if it isnt a problem for you..thanks!

I sent my sister "care" packages when she was on a ship after 911 (Navy) and she REALLY appreciated it.
