He must have an incredibly huge number of priorities to sort.

And when one has limited campaign capital--whether in attractiveness to voters, money or whatever, then I think one has to be very careful to protect the ragingly higher priorities . . . such as survival of The Republic. And, if one thinks one continuing in office a 2nd term is critical to the survival of the Republic as many of us probably think, then it might make sense to tread softly in such a noisey, volitile area with the country so divided.

He has said he disapproves. At least he's taken that stand.

I guess that depends on if you put more faith in the military and the political leadership...Or more faith in God. It also depends on if you want God be on your side or not. An Army of men is no match for God. If God has had enough then our army is going to be of little use. Better that he put God first.
