The mini-Hail Fire System weighs in at considerably more than today's 450 pound limit...but remember, in the story, we are dealing with the Predator IV in 2010.

Then it really wouldn't be "mini" (unless the full-sized Hail Storms are quite a bit heavier than 1000 pounds :-)

Still, nothing like some depleted uranium to ruin the GIR's entire month.

The full-sized Hail Storm system is fitted to a really big cruise missile in the series...but one that incorporates significant stealth characteristics as well.

Outside of the fuel, propulsion, airframe, etc, the full-sized system (ordinance, electronics, firing system, etc) weighs in at something like 2000-2500 lbs.

Here on the Predator IV, the weight is probably something close to 750-1000 lbs, thus a mini-Hail Storm system as compared to the full system.
