"Cold steel ... they don't like it up 'em"
The Argylls distinguished themselves in Aden in the 60s too.

Do the Brits still use the SLR automatic rifle? As I recall they're not exactly optimized for bayonet combat. I wonder how many of them needed replacing after that engagement.

Nice bayonet work! It is a fearsome thing to behold, according to historians.

5 to 1 kill ratio with bayonets. Geez.
Is it just me or is the average non-allied soldier just a complete failure in soldiering?

Good for the Argylls! These Muslims have such an affinity for knives to cut people's heads off ... let's see how THEY like it.
I think we should have all our soldiers affix their Bayonets and leave MORE insurgents dead and dying in the streets.
Aye, that's the ticket laddie!

Actually it says insurgents / terrorists were killed, doesnt mention any Brit casualties. If there were none, that would be sweet.

---After radioing for back-up, they fixed bayonets and charged at 100 rebels using tactics learned in drills. ---
Very counterintuitive.

They are not soldiers.
They are terrorists, thugs and criminals who were given AK-47s by a wannabe Saddam / Khoumeni.

Oh wait....nevermind....I'm screwing up the math...no Brittish dead with 35 insurgents killed is 35-0 which can't be calculated in terms of ratio.
