they have a church, right? the noise ordinance has been changed, why can't the church ring its bells every day at the same time as the call to prayer?

Great idea...all the churches could ring at once.

Since the 5 daily prayers are recorded and should always be the same. Just digitally record the racket then reblast it from another loud speaker strategically placed in front of the mosque speaker several blocks away. Phase adjusting the signal 180 degrees will cause significant reduction in the overall strength of the prayer racket through wave cancellation. People between the speakers won't hear anything. Plus in between prayers -- Van Halen!

Isn't it true that protestant churches refuse to ring their bells at the same time as Catholic churches? Or is that just a few small-town incidents i've strung together into something bigger? usually, when i hear church bells, i hear another set or two 1-3 minutes later from a different church.
