OMG!!!!!
I would have had their heads!!!
What an ordeal!
I'm so sorry.....
Lucretia and I were rear-ended by an HBO Van..awhile back...
I was sitting at an exit in Freeport...waiting for traffic to clear..
I looked in my rearview mirror, and I saw him coming at us at a fast clip....nowhere to escape...
BANG!!!!!
He slams into us....
I went WILD!!!!
I got out of that car and slammed her door so hard that car was rocking!!!
I marched over to him,and proceeded to tell him all about his ancestry...
Lucretia had been "totaled" (sp?) (considered a total loss) by our Insurance company...
The damage WAS heavy (to the body), but her frame was intact..
We "bought" her back, Mr.B jazzed her all up..she's real pretty now..
I will take a picture of her "for real" tomorrow to show you..
What make of VW was your lovely black one?
Jetta?

I'm glad you weren't injured in the accident,
but I'm sorry to hear about Lucretia.
Wow, it sounds like you have been through as
much as I have with your car.
I can't stop telling you how much I admire
you and Mr B for restoring that classic.
Yep, I have the Jetta V6 with everything in it.
I know what you mean about assailing people
who hit you. I was rear-ended under similar
circumstances on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago.
The guy who hit me was so worried that I had been
injured, but I popped out of my car and unleashed
the mother of all tirades about what an irresponsible
jerk he was . . . I had him in tears before it was
all over.
I would have felt bad, but I had seen my life flash
before my eyes as I watched in the rearview mirror this
idiot barreling toward me. There was nowhere for me
to move to in the heavy traffic.
