Based on his words and actions, Michael Berg wouldn't be above fabricating such a story, for irony's sake...

Were he Mossad, Nick would have been more effectual. He would have been lopping their heads off.

The only guy to say that Nick Berg was a Bush supporter was his father, and his father is an A.N.S.W.E.R. activist and cannot be believed.
One of the FR threads had mention of a highschool teacher who Nick and said he was far leftwing. Still, I haven't seen much on this aspect other than what his father said.
