That figure of 120,000 is probably a pretty bad over-estimation, including people who were very sick in the first place, allergic drug reactions, errors of other healthcare personnel besides docs, etc. I know docs haven't helped matters when they actually commit malpractice or when their official organizations embrace BS liberal and socialist political positions, but they're not all that bad.
