Only 35 American citizens were killed in terrorist attacks in 2003.
Do you think this may actually have something to do with our aggressive capture, retention and even interrogation of the terrorists, which allowed us to foil their attacks?
Why aren't we talking about these successes? This news came out in the same timeframe as the "prison abuse" photos.
I guess this is the "unimportant news" -- that people around the world, including in the US are much safer today, as a result of the Bush Administration aggressive actions against terrorists.
I blame Bush for this for sure
ha ha
I know of no terrorist attacks against the United States. We had a multitude of terrorist attacks within the United States by our homegrown terrorists.
Chief spokesman for the terrorists:
"I know it looks bad for us right now, but you have to take into account we have our hands full in Iraq. I promise, that as soon as we can get President Bush out of the White House, that we will increase our attacks world wide. We're doing our best, but give us time, patience, and a Democrat in the White House, and we will return to our days of glory."

YES!

Sure it does - now, how about, in addition to the endless apologies that are being demanded, a few "thank you's" ? (won't hold my breath!)
Also has a lot to do with the fact that terrorists can't carry out their evil work when so many of them are now dead.
I agree with you. This is Bush's fault.
know what else no war head has gone of in the white house since bush took office
Won't hear this in the Liberal media.
Note that I had to go to the State Dept. website to find the article -- there were a total of maybe 3-4 news articles, but they didn't even give the full impact -- some titles like "terror attacks down", or "State Dept. releases report on global terror", to make sure people don't find the title interesting and read it.
I think we need to keep our eye on the ball -- THIS is the big picture. This is the important news.
The "abuse" of a couple dozen terrorists is being taken care of via legal channels, but the bottom line is that we are safer today, than we were two years ago. Much safer.
The Bush strategy on the War on Terror is working. These numbers provide PROOF.
Q: Why are there fewer terrorists?
A: 'Cause we're KILLING 'EM!!
Q: Of the rapidly dwindling number of terrorists left, what is the prevailing attitude?
A: Scared sh!tless!
Q: What is the RATs take on this?
A: They're saddened, I'm sure :)
:" What is the RATs take on this?

And they are trying to change it, by tieing the hands of the US to make it virtually impossible to capture and interrogate terrorists -- which was the policy, that resulted in 9-11.
Here is some War on Terror good news, also suppressed by the media.
Operation Enduring Freedom bump
Even if the numbers were more widely publicized, Bush critics (Demonrats) would discount their obvious cause-and-effect just as they do in their assertion that America is no safer than it was on 9/11. And this in the face of no homeland attacks in almost 3 years! Lack of truth or logic does never inhibits them.
The Rats' take is that they deny the correlation.
Don't worry. History will offer the thank you's.
