I'm sure there's an important lesson here, somewhere.Probably not the one drawn by the researchers. There was so much action in the streets that a number of people were too busy to amuse themselves in the home.

You, well, you try to get it up when you're being tear gassed or bricks and cobble stones are flying through your windows. What I don't understand is how how Arabs in the maelstrom of the Arab world manage to reproduce so prolificially under these conditions--unless violence and chaos has the opposite effect on the Arab libido.

During the '92 riots in L.A. there wasn't much else to do. ....with the curfew and all. I mean, there were only so many hours I could stand on guard with the 12 gauge.

This is in contradiction human reactions to stressful societal events previously. Birth rates historically rise following periods of war/natural catastrophes/cultural upheaval. Interesting turn of events.
