IMHO, the President could put a stop to this "Prisoner Abuse" hit story quite easily.  The solution is to go on the air, say that he's tired of the media demeaning the men and women of the armed forces, and that he wants to show Americans what REAL torture is.  Then he could play the videos they have, like these, for all Americans to see via an Oval Office feed.  That would give the media a black eye and put an immediate stop to all of this.  Also, the credibility of the media would be almost irreparably damaged.  For a coup du grace, the President could ask the MEDIA to apologize for their assault on the men and women giving their lives to defend our country.

The President can reach the masses over the heads of the media -- he has the means, and he has the bully pulpit.  It is high time he starts using it.  The new tone is dead -- the country is OVER if Kerry wins.  It is high time Bush stops playing nice and puts the good of the country (i.e. his re-election) over his high-minded, "play nice" attitude.

Send everything to Hannity, Rush, et al, and president@whitehouse.gov my guess is that Hannity will support posting to his website. We've got nothing to lose but the election...

I aggree, I think that this is the only thing that will stop the media in their tracks. Something must be done and fast. I am relly getting tired of the drip, drip, drip of the mainstream press.
