OK Senator Levin, so you didn't get the ICRC Report, you didn't think the CentCom memo was worth your attention . . . well then, what about all the letters and emails that you and others on your committee were recieving from the soldiers and their families? That wasn't enough for you to get involved? I find you derelict, sir. NOW STFU!!!

So,..do I understand this?
The terrible problem the NYT has uncovered is that soldiers allowed terrorist murders to be treated in the same way Jerry Springer allows his guests to be treated?
Well, I, for one, will be looking forward to the NYT demanding an apology and resignation from Mr. Springer!

"I think Tim wanted to puff himself up" I think that is precisely what he did.
To: Mo1
What the hell was with Tims comment "MR SEC, this is inappropriate"?
Like Powell did that on purpose? He said Tim I lost you and everything.
Tim is a fool.

We need to hear from Senator John Cornyn of Texas. This is his first term in the Senate, but he served Texas well as Attorney General, and before that District Judge in San Antonio and then was elected twice to our State Supreme Court. He is firm in his support of Secretary Rumsfield and the President.

That's it! I'm down to watching one Sunday morning show. I can't stand to watch MTP anymore, that's the latest one to fall off my schedule. I'm just not going to waste my time anymore.

Oh, Tim accuses Powell's press aid of intentionally trying to cut off the interview and Tim's last question
Huh?? .. what happened?
Tim was asking question to Powell on camera. As Tim approached the last question, the camera moved away from Powell to show the ocean view. Moments pass. Tim asks what happened. In the background is heard voices. Powell saying "Emily, get away from me." Tim jumps in, accuses Powell or Powell's staff of cutting off the interview. Tim chides Powell, rather rudely. [Note that I was only half paying attention to the TV, so didn't catch it all.] A good 20 or 30 seconds pass with just the ocean view. Powell is heard, "move the camera back around to me." Powell answers the question.
As Tim closes out his program, he again rants and chastises Powell and Co for trying to cut off the interview.
[You can probably see it repeated in the morning on Today as Tim whines to Katie.]

Tim made a point of saying " the unedited interview with Powell"
Since Powell answered his final question there was no point in airing the camera trouble unless of course Tim wants Powell to look bad.
What an idiot.

I thought that Chris Wallace was putting it to Levin pretty well when he was asking him what he did about the scandal before it broke publicly. Levin was stressing physically, and repeating himself a lot.

Timmy also lookd ticked in the unedited version

Secretary of State Colin Powell was impressive on ABC. I especially liked (my paraphrase) "Why *should* I do that, simply because it was his (the Palestinian) expectation?"
I was disgusted with the Clinton-lover, Stephanopolous', interuption and obvious hostility toward Secretary Powell. The contrast between his manner with the Secretary (raised voice, attacks, interuptions) and Jordan's King Abdullah (low voice, less aggressive, some interuptions, but much fewer) is stunning.
Of course, Steph has the habit of interupting whomever he is interviewing. ?Napolean complex or simple hubris?

I'm thinking of skipping these shows altogether. The only thing worth seeing, in both MTP and FNS was Brit's excellent rant at the end about the importance of the war. It made more sense than anything I've heard any Senator (Republican or Democrat) say in the past two weeks. So glad he's back from vacation!
