So what should Bush do to stop the feeding frenzy? Is there anything he can do besides ride it out?

President Bush has responded to the situation and taken corrective action. Now he will probably have the sense to shut up and stop making more news about his reaction.

The court martials are coming up soon. They'll take up a lot of air time, but what the American people will see is that justice is done, and then the story will fizzle.

The June 30th handover of sovereignty to the Iraqis is a biggy, and we'll be fighting the Battle of the Bulge there until then.

After that, it's anybody's guess about what is next, as we've never really done this before.

He gave a good radio positive Iraq message today. The people are tiring of all prison abuse all the time. The negatives haven't really helped Kerry.

The military has been on top of this from the get go. As the trials proceed, that will become apparent, IMO.

I don't think there's anything the President can or should do, other than continue wiping out armed opposition and preparing Iraq for self governance.

If we succeed in that, then nothing else will be of any great consequence.
