"Limbaugh disgraced himself. His "frat boy" jokes about the torture they came under are sick to all moral people."
I disagree.
When Rush said those things he was talking about the 1st photos. He was taken out of context too.
Many here myself included thought the same as Rush, and I know I have morals. Yes it was sick what happened over there, but so are many "frat boy pranks". Torture is not a word I would use to describe what happened. This is war and war is not always pretty, but torture is not what happened.
What Rush has done is to now claim his comments were taken out of context. But he has never clarified the context they should have been considered. Buckerman is correct. Any decent God fearing person would have immediately condemned the actions taking place in the photos. Rush was trying to make a defense for the administration cause this was gonna be a stinky and sticky situation for them. He goofed.
Let's see. Next time you're detained, let's have them get you nekkid before you get legal representation. Oh wait, there are constitutional guarantess against that. But I thought those constitutional guarantees were given by the creator to everyone. I guess in some peoples world you must live under our constitution to have access to God given rights......even when in our detention.
An initiation infers a volunteer. I didn't see any volunteer in those photos except for our troops. Maybe Krishner ought to detain Rush, make him pose naked in front of the Cline woman with a pair of panties on his head. Or maybe put him on a box with wires attached while having his head hooded. Heck for that matter, the who doctor shopping invenstagation is just an initiation to living in Palm Beach county.
Oh, and how was Rush taken out of context? I listened to the whole dialog. That was the context. Period.
Nice try. Maybe you should take it over to the DU. Yer singin' THEIR song here.
No, nice try on your behalf. No rational answer so you attack me as a Du'er. Nice show of intellect and deep thought. No, maybe you ought to try the wacko boards where other folks that left or were banned ended up. Maybe TLB can help you get signed up.
Limbaugh disgraced himself. His "frat boy" jokes about the torture they came under are sick to all moral people.
what is truly sick to truly moral people are the islamic muslim extremists - NOT Rush.
you are deliberately mis-informing people here about Rush by implying that he was talking about any real physical abuse taking place.
When he made that comment, the only facts known to us were the naked pics, the dumb mps smiling and laughing, the psychological breakdown techinques ....
THAT's TERRIBLE you say -- THAT's SICK! you scream and pound your chest and flail yourself as a zealot!
Those interrogation techniques are valid, trained for, open public knowledge (if you wanted to) and are the EXACT same ones used ON Americans during training exercises!
You probably need to change your name to BURKAH-man1 ??
If you're an attorney, perhaps you'll consider offering your services "pro-bono" to those fine, upstanding executioners of Nick Berg, should we ever have the misfortune of capturing them intact.
Never said they needed silver service. But they are humans. Yes, their behavior is barbaric, at best. As I mentioned to others, the next time they are detained for something that may be particularly nasty (but maybe innocent), let's use some of their "approved" methods to interogate them. Many of these folks were detained for nothing more than some neighbor ratted on them, but in fact they did nothing.
Let's see.....having panties put over your head vs. getting it chopped off.
Hey...you're right...no difference </idiocy>.
So close yet so far...
There are no "constitutional guarantees" given by a creator to "everyone." Zero. Zip. Nada.
A constitutional guarantee requires a ratified constitution that restricts the powers of a government to protect "certain unalienable rights" such as occurred in the United States.
I am unaware of a 'Government of Everyone' set forth by a Constitution of Everyone in the Nation of Everyone.
For people to have protection of rights, they must be citizens of a nation that has constitutional protections of those rights.
Now, our forces operate under a code of military justice that incorporates a higher standard than much of the world. The actions at the prison camps violated that standard. An investigation was initiated, subjects were charged and detained, trials will be held.
All happened before the press decided to help the Kerry campaign with these pathetic, over-hyped stories.
Do you get the difference? Foreigners have zero guarantees of rights enumerated in the Declaration or US Constitution. We have a self-imposed standard to extend as a courtesy better treatment than they would get under their own governments. That's it.
US Armed Forces members violated that standard and will be prosecuted under the code of justice. No rights were violated - but laws of conduct were. Violators will be punished.
Compare that to Saddam's government...the 'violators' would receive a bonus and move on to the next group of prisoners.
"Oh, and how was Rush taken out of context? I listened to the whole dialog. That was the context. Period."
I listened to the the whole show.
Because the full story was not out and he was only talking about the 1st photos.
If you put one of these at the end of every paragraph, it won't hurt freepers' eyes so much, and they will read what you post.
Hey, they are savages. We've gone into their country (well maybe not their country,as now it seems Al Queda has moved in). So I guess they throat hacker was an Iraqi? Don't think so.
The first photos weren't pretty either.
