I am my squadrons voting officer. It is my job to help people register to vote, and get them an absentee ballot if need be. The Air Fore takes this series. As for as getting back on time its out of my hands that the postal service. I joke that I am the Squadron Political Commissar.
I remember in 2000,there were indications that dem postal employees had been stashing absentee ballots away so that they wouldn't be received in time to be counted...sure hope we are looking for that this time.
Yes, the Air Force in the AOR is pushing to get everyone to register. But like others said, we are at the mercy of the postal system.
