Yes they did make the desert bloom. They took a desolate sandbox and turned it into a beautiful place. Rhetorical question: The Palestinians have the same type of soil, etc. so why havent't they done that?
I think Israelis can be persuaded to hire locally if it means a more secure enviroment.
