1970's songbird Linda Ronstadt, best known for her torch song-style and mellow ballads, is working overtime these days trying to persuade her fellow Arizonans that it's time to dump President Bush "right away."
In an interview broadcast on Saturday, Ronstadt was in the middle of explaining to WABC Radio's Mark Simone why she prefers living in Arizona to Los Angeles or New York, when she added one caveat.
"The politics are very conservative here and I'm not conservative. I'm having a hard time sometimes convincing people that we need to vote for a new president," she offered.
When Simone begged to differ, the singer insisted, "We need a different president right away, I think. I think we should impeach this one [rather than wait for] the next election."
Asked if she could support Sen. John Kerry despite his admission that he committed war crimes in Vietnam, Ronstadt told Simone, "I don't know about that? He might be a little more understanding of what these guys [U.S. GIs in Iraq] are going through."
For a second I thought it was Candy Crowley.
Yeah, riiiight...
Hey, Linda, I see the U.S. GI's in Iraq every day. They're doing just fine, OK? They're not a bunch of spoiled whiners like the Hollywood elite are; they're real people committed to their objectives.
Yeah, but I can handle fat -- Just not between the ears.
Linda has a great voice. But not much going on upstairs.

It`s amazing what an over abundance of food can do.
Wasn't her backup band the Eagles. They left her and flew into mega stardom.
Not to cross threads, but
it is hard to imagine
that evolution
worked billions of years
just to get to that. Of course,
hard to blame God, too . . .

Now, all you little people have to open up your wallets and buy tickets to any and all shows which the anti-American entertainers are having. Otherwise, it would be an infringement of their 1st Amendment rights to not purchase their tickets, according to Al Gore.

I guess I just dont know why people listen to these celebrities as if they were experts in their field.
I read the 'Ideas and Opinions of Albert Einstein' and he was a complete fool with regards to anything but theoretical physics. He could barely tie his own shoes. Linda Rhondstat is a great singer, love her voice. Although entitled to her own opinion, obviously she is a political DOLT.
Much better to keep her trap shut and be thought of as an idiot than to voice that type of opinion and remove all doubt.
My eyes, my eyes, a picture that can turn a pony into stone!
I saw her in concert in Columbia Mo. back in the 70's when she wore the Cub Scout uniform. She looked HOT in it.
"Didn't she used to be Jerry Brown's old lady?"
- I don't think so. I was always under the impression they were using each other for cover. I'm almost certain that Linda would be more comfortable being Rosie's old lady.
