Interrogating intelligence; Soldiers deny torture is part of curriculum at Intelligence Center

FORT HUACHUCA - If military intelligence soldiers were part of the Iraqi prisoner abuse, they have violated the tenets of what is being taught at the Army's Intelligence Center, Spc. Jason Hickman said Wednesday.

If it is found to be true, "it's a blemish on MI (military intelligence)," said the 30-year-old soldier who is a week away from graduating as a human intelligence collector, better known as an interrogator.

Physical and mental torture is not what is being taught on the fort, Hickman said during a break in a weeklong field training exercise where he and other soldiers use what they have learned in nearly four months of classroom instruction. The class graduates next Thursday.

When he and other soldiers training to become interrogators learned of the photos showing abusive treatment of Iraqis, he said that like most Americans, "We couldn't believe it happened, we were shocked."

First what the US was doing over there in the prison wasn't torture. Ask yourself this what is a more humane method of information retrieval thumb nails and stretch racks or just a little humiliation. They are not affraid to die tin order to fight for there cause but they are afraid of humiliation so in order t get the information. I and many other people do not see the problem with wartime interrogation techniques that are being used. Remember its WAR, war is not a pretty thing. Less than clean and neat things have to be done in order to ensure victory. Remember and learn from the history of war, victory is often awarded to the side that is willing to out maneuver the other side.
Use there own weaknesses against them, humiliate the hell out of them in order to retrieve any bit of info the US requires.
Ask yourself what ends would they go to in order to retrieve info from there prisoners if the situation was reversed . And we all know the answer to that.
