perhaps that is true - in a public opinion poll. But democracy is not exercised through Gallup and Zogby. How many people in Massachusetts would actually VOTE to change the law, change the elected officials, who would impeach the judges - do whatever it takes to overturn this?
The votes aren't there for it, the real votes, the ones that count, in the booth on election day. They simply are not there. This is a state that elects a drunken murderer to the US Senate.
