Funny, I must be in a sarcastic mood today...I was thinking something along the lines of "Free Bon-bons With Every Manicure"! MUST be Friday!

Amy's idea's are great! I can help if someone will cover the ping list (maybe if you, Grellis will keep the ping list then one of us post the topic and ping you)
I would be willing to do what I can. I'm a great worker drone but not a leader!

Want to make a deal? I'll get me a grip if you could loosen yours, just a little...
In case you hadn't realized, the sandbox line was just in good fun.

You mean you don't walk around with a laptop with a good battery and a wireless connection?

>>The first time I really felt like a mom was...<<
Sorry, I forgot this one.
The first time I felt I was a mom was when after 28 1/2 hours of labor, I was not even tired when I held my angel.

Labor...the ultimate extreme sport! My first two were 20-plus hour labors and I wanted to get up, get dressed, and go home. My last son was a four hour labor and I wanted to sleep for a year or two.

Isn't the Hobbit Hole for stuff like this?
To: F16Fighter
I thought HH was a Tolkien-related thread. Naturally, all moms (and dads, too, why not?) are welcome to join in, be they Elvish, Hobbitish, Entish, Dwarvish, Orkish...

It sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe it would raise a few heads that we need more in publications other than the liberal drivel that is currently published for women.

Besides the usual "Motherhood according to Maureen Dowd," you mean? NO KIDDING! There's another one, writes pretty regularly for Newsweek, whose byline should read "Three-bagger warning in effect." Anna Quindlen? I think its her. Just horrid. Typical "Kids are raised best by anyone except for the parents who made 'em" nonsense. Do you want to be added to the ping? Its a Friday-only thread, not a big committment.
We're busy ladies, after all!

Please add me to your ping list. I can help with what ever is needed as well. Once the ping list is started it should be fairly easy to get the thread going. I felt like a Mom the first time I saw that little positive sign in the bathroom. LOL. After that motherhood really sunk in when we saw her on the ultrasound. It was an amazing day. Tears of joy for hours.
