UP AGAINST FANATICISM (Must Read)
News Herald (Panama City, Florida) ^ | April 4, 2004 | Phil Lucas

Posted on 05/14/2004 5:58:05 AM PDT by JesseHousman

If straight talk of savagery offends you, if you believe in ethnic and gender diversity but not diversity of thought or if you think there is an acceptable gray area between good and evil, then turn to the funny pages, and take the children, too. This piece is not for you.

We published pictures Thursday of burnt American corpses hanging from an Iraqi bridge behind a mob of grinning Muslims. Some readers didn't like it.

Mothers said it frightened their children. A woman who works with Muslim physicians thought it might offend or endanger them.

Well, we sure don't want to frighten, offend or endanger anybody, do we? That's just too much diversity to handle. I mean, somebody might get hurt.

We could fill the newspaper every morning with mobs of fanatical Muslims. They can't get along with their neighbors on much of the planet: France,Chechnya, Bosnia, Indonesia, Spain, Morocco, India, Tunisia, Somalia, etc. etc. etc. Can anybody name three ongoing world conflicts in which Muslims are not involved?

Today, where there is war, there are fanatical Muslims.

We might quibble about who started what conflicts, but look at the sheer number of them.

One thing is sure. Muslim killers started the one we are in now when they slaughtered more that 3,000 people, including fellow Muslims, in New York City.

Madeleine Albright, the former secretary of state and reckless appeaser who helped get us into this mess, said last week Muslims still resent the Crusades. Well, Madam Albright, if Westerners were not such a forgiving people, we might resent them too.

Let's recap the Crusades. Muslims invaded Europe, and when they reached sufficient numbers, they imposed their intolerant religion upon Westerners by force. Christian monarchs drove them back and took the battle to their homeland. The fight lasted a couple of centuries, and we bottled them up for 1,000 years.

Now, a millennium later, Muslims have expanded forth again.

Ask France. Ask England. Ask Manhattan.

Two-and-a-half years ago fanatical Muslims laid siege to us. We woke up to the obvious. Our president announced it would be a very long war, then took the battle to the Islamic homeland. Sound Familiar?

Let's consider the concept of a "long war." Last time it was 200 years, give or take. Anybody catch Lord of the Rings? You know, the good part, the part that wasn't fiction, the part that drew us to the books and movies because it was the truest part: the titanic struggle between good and evil, between freedom and enslavement, between the individual and the state, between the celebration of life and the worshipping of death.

That's the fight we are in, and it never ends. It just has peaks and valleys.

There may be a silent majority of peaceful Muslims - some live here - but that did not save 3,000 people in the World Trade Center, the million gassed and butchered in the Middle East, the tens of thousands slain in Easter Europe and Asia, the hundreds blown to bits in the West Bank and Spain, or the four Americans shot, burned and hung like sausage over the Euphrates as a fanatical minority of Muslims did the joyful dance of death.

Maybe we are so tolerant, we are so bent on "diversity," we are so nonjudgmental, we are so wrapped up in our six-packs and ballgames that our brains have drained to our bulbous behinds. Maybe we're so addled on Ritalin we wouldn't know which end of a gun to hold. Maybe we need a new drug advertised on TV every three minutes, one that would help us grow a backbone.

It doesn't take a Darwin to figure out that in this world the smartest, the fastest, the strongest, and the most committed always win.

No exceptions.

Look at your spouse and children. Look at yourself in the mirror. Then look at the pictures from the paper last Thursday. You better look at them. Those are the people out to kill you.

Who do you think will win? You? Or them? Think you can take your ball and go home and they will leave you alone? Read a little history. Start with last week, last month, last year, and every other year back for half a century. Then go back a thousand years. Nobody hides from this fight.

Like it or not, that's the way it was and that's the way it is.

But many Americans don't get it.

That's why we published those pictures.

If they jarred you off the sofa, if they offended you, if they scared your children and sent you into a rage at mass murderers or heartless editors, then I say, it's a start.

Phil really got this right, didn't he? This waddling waterbuffalo's muddy and bloody footprints in the halls of the state department will be there for a long time.

We cannot look at history. Can't we all just get along? Diversity is good and we should all turn into good peace loving Muslims. Then they would quit killing us.

Christian monarchs drove them back and took the battle to their homeland.

Hardly, Mecca would have been their homeland. The battle of Jerusalem was recapturing what used to be Christian and Jewish lands that were conquered by the Muslim hordes...

And, if they don't....perhaps we should try using stern language?

That oughta do it.

I read an article similar to this years ago. It's true and one that does not get any play in the media at all. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings with the truth or anything.

Let's ask our president to apologize to the King of Jordan again. Once is never enough.

Sigh...I wish we had this sort of reporting in the uk. This sort of straight to the truth and cut the crap attitude in our press. But, alas. The scourge of PC is upon us here, any story like this would be blitzed by the liberal fools in seconds, the journo who wrote it fired, the editior vilified for printing it.

Getting tired of it all.

Somebody gets it!

Liberals think Muslims are just like them and can be bribed, cajoled, persuaded into get-alongism. If Muslims really get out of hand, the UN can call a "time out" and sit everybody in their room while they cool off.

Liberals themselves look at the world through their own warped mirror and figure everybody is just like them - spoiled, selfish and morally pliable if you can only find the right price. The centuries of atrocities the Muslim world has committed is all our fault, not theirs.

Liberals are as much of the problem as Muslims. Muslims know exactly what they are doing and why. Liberals don't, but they insist on ruling and directing the rest of us because they think they are morally superior and enlightened.

This artical says it exactly like it is. Too bad so many Americans ca'nt believe this is exactly the agenda of Islam. Bin Laden said: "The world belongs to Allah and by the end of the 21 century, everyone will either convert or die.
Oh but the American involvment with radical Islam began before Madiline Allbright! It began with Jimmy Carter supporting mujahadeens in Afghanistan. Carter was famous for idiotic foreign policy but he got his advice from Zbigniew Brzezinski , Who has recently written a book against President Bush's foreign policy!!

Hannity asked a Human Rights advocate what methods we should use to extract information out of a known terrorist. After much evasion, he said we could ask them, maybe yell at them, but never deprive them of anything!

What a guy! I agree with this writing 100% with a minor exceptions and explanations.

First, the reason this massive revival of militant Islam took place is well known to our government, and they failed to do anything about it. 1) The Iranian revolution put the entire national income of Iran at the disposal of its fanatical clerics to propagate militant Islamic ideologies around the world. 2) The Saudis sudden riches after the embargo allowed additional billions of dollars to push hateful Islam (Wahhabism) around the world. 3) Our CIA training of militant Islamic thugs to fight in Afghanistan Bosnia, and Kosovo in coordination with our archenemies Iran, and Saudi Arabia. 4) The open border, allowed many legal and illegal Moslems to live among us despite the fact that we know that they will never assimilate, and accept living under our laws. 5) The idiots on the liberal side emboldened them in demanding acceptance of their fanatic way of life under the guise of DIVERSITY! 6) Millions of Saudi dollars are spent in this country to build Mosques, while we cannot build one church in their country, who is the bitch in this relationship? 7) A systematic proselyte of prisoners in America under our nose without any counter action. A new inmate walks in, and he is typically worried about getting gang raped in prison. Don’t worry said the big Moslem dude, you convert to Islam, and we literarily save your ass.

Now given the above stupidity of the American government, and its inability counter that global radical Islam despite of all their many crimes in WTC in 1993, Kobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, US Cole in Yemen, American embassies in Africa, Taliban atrocities, Sudan atrocities, Indonesian atrocities, Pakistan atrocities, Philippine atrocities, Egypt atrocities, Palestinian suicide bombers atrocities, Chechnya atrocities, Albania atrocities, Kashmir atrocities…..WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR THE BRAIN WASHED IDIOTS IN WASHINGTON TO CONNECT THE DOTS AND REALIZE THE DANGER OF RADICAL ISLAM!

In 9/11, all the stupid Joe-Six-Pack of America waked up. In addition, all the godless Europeans waked up, and realized that burying your head in the sand allows your ass to be exposed to your enemies! Every one was outraged, every one was united to take on these scum bags. We got our friends together and went after the base of Al Qaida, Afghanistan, the center of radical fanatical regime. We kicked their ass in no time. Now, we are ready to continue the war against fanatical Islam. We did not go after Iran, the instigator of hate; we did not go after Sudan, the base of a militant Moslem government that slaughtered 2 million Christians. We did not go after Saudi Arabia, the contributor of most money to create venomous hate against us, and the contributor of the jihadists in 9/11. No, we went after a secular dictator, who doesn’t give a sh*t about Islam, he is only concerned with staying in power. That did not go well with our allies who were ready to continue the fight against RADICAL MILITANT ISLAM. Somehow, we got confused, and somehow we refused to accept advice, and accordingly, we lost the solid backing and enthusiasm of our European brothers and sisters in continuing the fight against radical Islam.

Now, I am sure, I am going to get all kind of smart ass comments about the reasons for the war on Iraq. Saved guys, just admit that we were stupid to waste all that time and monies on a country that was not a “MAJOR” player in the fanatical Islamic movement. Now the latest thing is to mess with Syria, another “SECULAR” dictatorship. When are we going to learn who are our enemies, and when are going to close our gates to further importation of Moslems. One more point, if you want to discuss my long dissertation, please do at length, and with evidences. If you want to just make wise-ass remarks, please save it. This is a serious discussion for serious minded people only. Thanks.
