[history]
May 14, 2004 -- Iraq's feared Abu Ghraib jail was one big sex romp - sometimes by candlelight with an audience watching, U.S. troops said yesterday. Sex and alcohol were commonplace, and soldiers frequently set up candlelit rooms for voyeuristic sex shows, said a soldier who served at the notorious prison.

Now I know why I got the impression that you were truly one of the good guys.
Thanks for your service, both for the Army and for God.

Wow, that is amazing. Ms. England is quite the pillarow of womanly virtue.

Karpinski will be defended zealously by Schroeder an Mrs. Clinton and the wohle NOW contingent because she is obviously being persecuted because of her "gender" and W and Rum's hatred of women.

We have many felmale prison guards in men's prisons. I don't think there are any male guards in the women's prisons though.

I wonder what the "bent one" thinks about all this.He no longer loathes the military.

Clinton's probably sorry he missed out on the whole thing - after all, he brought it into the White House and Oval Office. Has anyone looked around for videos from the Oval Office, by the way?I don't know about you folks, but I much prefer that there only be trickle down economics from the White House.

sophomoric pranks? embarrassing to the country yes but worthy of time in prison,In the military this merits prison. It is a much more serious affair than in the suburbs.
To: kattracks
Another reason women should not be serving in combat in the military.

The problem is the WOMEN. The presence of the men on the battlefield is required. The presence of the women is demoralizing and requires more men and equipment to make up for the effects of that demoralization. Young men and young women are both prone to get in these situations when they are mixed but removing the men leaves a truly useless military. Removing the women makes the military more efficient and cheaper to operate.
To: leadpenny
If this crap doesn't open up a whole new debate on the roll of women in the military, I don't know what will.
LOL! I think there will be QUITE a debate.

No Brigadier General can do an entirely incompetent job for long if the Major General up the line is doing his. Probably a female general can because if the major gen busts her for her errors then he will face siscipline himself for his sexism.
To: leadpenny
You can bet the NOW nags will not address the issueYes, the will; as soon as Lynnde and Karpinsky are facing jail or discharge.
To: arthurus
Then he has no business wearing stars anyway. Don't get me wrong, Karpinski is/was clearly incompetent to Command, but Generals at her level are much like Sergeants, they work for (and answer to) somebody. Whoever she answered to was not doing HIS job, and if any of the detainees at Abu Ghraib were likely to have high-level intelligence, he should have been.
To: UncleJeff
Without leadership subordinates perform at a level somewhere between what they know is expected of them and what they know they can get away with.

Not true. Two Battalion Commanders in that Brigade were singled out by Taguba for running their units in a military manner (a little-mentioned part of the report)
without supervision from Brigade, but obviously Karpinski wasn't made of the same stuff.
Somebody above her should have known that, it was their job and their duty to know.

Congressmen were shocked...
The congressmen are the ones who have supported amoral policies in pulic education, communication and entertainment. They are constantly "in bed with" perverts and their ACLU lawyers. Shocked is what they are when someone gets an unexpected photo of them. Given, generalities are not exceptionally true.

The sinkEmperor would have sent for Lynddie to visit the Oval Orifice on numerous occasions ... to give her counseling don'tcha know.
Make no mistake, the abuses at Abu Ghraib are directly related to the degeneracy of our Military, pushed over the edge rather than corrected, when the 'don't ask don't tell' pc garbage ushered degeneracy more fully sanctioned in the military. The left of the current democrat party leadership are the sources of this result, though the salivating lapdog media would never out their beloved liberals in office.

It is true. The battalions you refer to had leadership and apparently they had it in spite of BG Karpinski. Moat BN CO's are LTC's and by the time they reach that grade, they understand leadership.
