LANSING, MI—Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox (R-MI) issued the following statement addressing Sen. John Kerry's health care plan:

"John Kerry's health care plan would add red tape while failing to reduce costs. Kerry's rhetoric is at odds with his long record of supporting the flow of frivolous lawsuits that make health care more expensive. The lawsuit lottery Kerry has blocked efforts to stop means higher health care costs for all Michiganders. Kerry even fought against the President's legislation to guarantee affordable prescription drugs for Michigan's 1.2 million seniors."
