I'm surprised he was only detained for 10 days and interviewed only 3 times by FBI. Was he let go so he could be followed ? If he was followed did the terrorists suspect he turned ? Was he calm up until the end because he thought they were on same side ?

Remember that one guy that went to the Phillipines, he was from california I believe. As I remember it, he was an admirer of the AbuSayaff and went to the Phillipines to join up. They ended up holding him hostage and then cutting his head off? Could this be something like that happened with Nick Berg?
