I have tried diligently to find out all of the countries in Africa visted by Nick Berg, and when.
The only thing I have found is the Ghana adventure where it is reported he 'even(among what else?) helped them[?] make mud bricks'.
A few of the emails, statements and what not from his friends and family indicated he went to Africa more than once, and one report puts him in the continent 3 times.
What countries did Nick Berg visit in Africa and when did he visit them?
Another question that needs answering.
Africa is positively crawling with Al Quaeda.
Most do-gooders travel to Africa with church groups or charitable NGOs. Not on their own....
Another cover story?
Curiouser and Curiouser!
I would like to know what Nick did between the time he was released after being "detained" and the time he was captured by Moussaoui's group. Also where was Nick and what was Nick doing when he was captured by the group?
If you look at the post #168 ( From Philly.com ), that account mentions Uganda.
The unaccounted for Africa trips could have been for ulterior purposes. Learning clandestine comms, etc. Who knows? But very, very interesting.
It has been reported that he also went to Kenya.
Here's what I've gathered: Fall semester 98 he did a Cornell Univ engineering/electronics program in Uganda. Interesting that he earns himself a scholarship to continue Cornell studies due in part to this program but he drops out and moves to OK. I haven't seen dates but at some point he's making bricks in Ghana. In Kenya he's setting up communication equipment. And somewhere in Africa he's out drilling water wells.
