Um, yep. The spring semester 98 he did a Cornell University program in Uganda setting up a communications system. That's when he got a scholarship to continue at Cornell but drops out to go to OU where he meets Moussaoui. Google and you'll find it.
Oops, got my notes mixed up. I don't know exactly what he was doing in Uganda but he was there because of a Cornell University program. The setting up of a comminications system was in Kenya. He made bricks in Ghana. And somewhere in Africa drilled for water.
