This whole thread needs to be banned by the spelling police.

No, in this case, I have granted a variance.

I have to agree with those who say the Berg story did not pass the smell test. I don't often jump in on gut feelings, especially when someone has been mutilated in such an awful way.

But the whole family just turned me off by blaming Bush, etc. because he went over voluntarily and refused to come home.

This is going to come out in a whole new direction methinks!

Almost anything is possible. It really did not look like the photos of Berg that we've been seeing pre-Iraq. And he wasn't in anyone's custody long enough to have lost all that much weight, etc.

If he was a double agent (primarily for al quaida, but also for CIA/FBI, it's hard telling who might of caught on and when.

Interesting, indeed.

OKC is a problem for Republicans, Democrats and the FBI. Explanations for the problems of not investigating that fully lie with the Clinton/Reno machine - they just didn't want to have a case of international terrorism on their hands.

Much easier to blame it on White extremists in this country and on Rush Limbaugh and the extreme right and hate. Hah! What a crock that was.

Don't forget the Denver radio Talk show host, Alan Berg, who was shot and killed. The movie "talk radio" was based, roughly, on his murder so there is the Holly-weird connection.

This is flat out weird -- I live in Norman and used to see Moussoui's two roommates around town all the time especially the guy with the long black beard that used to put it behind his ears. Really creepy looking guy. Now I find out that Berg was here in Norman at the same time as Moussouri! Berg spent a semester here at OU. There was an article in our paper this morning about Berg.

Then the was the small plane from the flight school that crashed right after take-off -- about 100 feet from the gas station on the corner because the Arab forgot to refuel the tank. It was in the same general time period. I was driving on Robinson when I saw it happen with the plane.

Yeah, that whole statement was odd because if the killers wanted to seek 'revenge' for the prison abuse scandal, wouldn't they have had Berg make some sort of statement about it instead of just his name and stuff?

I am more suspicious than ever that maybe his father's statement about Nick Berg supporting Pres Bush and the war was a lie, meant to sidetrack us from the truth....

I sense a big story coming out of this, and a lot of Freepers ain't gonna like it.

Well, you have had to notice that the Berg story was the anti-venom for the Abu Gharaib story.

What am I saying?!?!?!?

And are they wrong -- all the women that sit around me at OU football games know their football -- we are about evenly split in our section.

I think his father's comment that what the terrorists who killed him didn't know was that he was their best friend, was very, very odd.
