This reminds me of the Wellstone funerally mentality. If that had been my kid who had been brutally butchered there is no way in hell I would be able to function enough to be talking to the press and making coherent political speeches/statements. That's exactly why THIS WHOLE STORY smells.
Was it not the father that said the son was a Bush supporter?
Or did he just call C-SPAN on the Republican line?
I'd wager that daddy will speak at the D convention.
Something is very wrong here.

Lets hope this has the same result as the Wellstone memorial political rally.

Two peas in a pod with about 48% of this country firmly behind their ideology. How frightening.

Kerry is a slimeball and a moron...a difficult achievement to be sure.

"How long before father Berg is on Chris Matthew's show?"
Let's start a pool. I say by next Tuesday.
I hope it isn't like a Senator Paul Wellstone event.

You need to catch up. Please do not take that personal. Keep reading and throw the tv away.

Like many others have said, John Kerry could stand at a press conference tomorrow, tell America to f-off, and still get 35-40% of the vote in November. Probably more.

"I decided to talk about it before I decided not to talk about it."Actually, I can't tell if that's an actual quote by the duplicitous piece of filth from Massachusetts, or one you made up. Sad, but true...

And .. the father is now proudly all over the TV - when he was previously in hiding - saying it's all Bush's fault that his son died.
Now .. I have no sympathy for the father!

I think you have it right. Kerry's action proves that money does not buy taste or class and that he is an indecent person.
Perhaps Kerry was there to make sure the family televises a memorial and allow him to speak at it? I put nothing beneath this despicable person, after all this would not be the first time he stepped on the back of fallen soldiers for his own personal political agenda.
Sadly I think this family is so far to the left that they would agree to anything Kerry wants.

You and I do. And just how many are fully engaged in his beliefs and thoughts as to the socialist direction of this country?

I agree - this whole thing does not add up.
Why in the world would someone go to Iraq with a Jewish name - now?
The first cover was he was there to build communication towers..?? But was not a contractor. I seriously doubt this story - plus he was what - 26 years old. He wouldn't have the capital to do it likely.
Then there are conflicting reports about who, when and where he may or may not have been in captivity.
The mans son is supposed to be there on a private business mission and all his dad can say is "Bush did it!" Politics before grieving the death of your son?? Riiiiight.
I heard one report that he "visited a friend" in Mosul. The gist of the story was the "friend" was scared for his own safety just being with this guy. Overlooked the "turd in the punchbowl" - hows does a 26 year old kid raised in the states have a "friend" in Mosul and then wide up getting killed by the most wanted terrorist on the planet?
How is it the Zarkawi finds this kid and we have 140,000 people that are highly motivated to speed up his meeting with the 72 virgins looking for him and can't find him..
Has spooks written all over it to me. We shall see.

I'm a little rusty on my past history. Does anyone have a FReepers link or perspective on exactly what happened at the Wellstone memorial? I heard that Billary was involved, so it could not have been good.

Kerry's a vampire. Berg...well he's possessed, utterly. The idea of them meeting so quickly after the fact makes my skin crawl. The two are "revulsive" as are their cohorts. Good Lord the war really IS here at home. Truly I fear for this country. I think we can hardly imagine the road ahead.
To: marginoferror
He'll be onstage as a prop for Kerry by the weekend.

The circumstances of Nick Berg's presence and disappearance in Iraq are rather irregular. But I think what his dad said today about Nick being Al-qaeda's best friend (it was a slip but he meant it) says the old man has not abandoned his illusions that the people who sawed off his son's head are simply misunderstood freedom fighters and America is the bad guy. I guess Nick's dad is too old to outgrow his communist dreams but, my G*d, they butchered his son with less mercy than they would have shown a dumb animal--and video recorded it! I would say that Mr. Berg's brand of political thought killed Nick.
