And did you catch the part where President Palmer's ex-wife is an evil manipulate beyatch who wants to take over the world, while his loyal aide looks very much like a younger Laura Bush?

As you know, in 24 the president is a Democrat (it was mentioned only in two episodes or so in the first season). Of course, in Season 1, some of his supporters murdered someone who had unflattering info on his son and this season, he covers up for his homicidal ex-wife and sends his brother to steal the evidence.

He couldn't possibly be a Republican.
