Good job! Sadr is now asking for negotiations--said he wants his forces to join the new Iraqi Army!!!!!! Looks like the U.S. Army has assisted him in his personal decision making process.

Fact is that the Iraqis aren't buying, not even Sadr's neighbors, who are less than happy with holes in their walls and know perfectly well who started the whole thing. This dog don't hunt.

No negotiations. But Sadr said that he would stop fighting if some council of religious leaders in Najaf that is meeting now tell him too. But the CPA said it won't talk to Sadr or this council.

I heard a snippet this morning saying that we were thinking of letting some of Sadr's insurgent army fight on the same side as us in.......I don't remember....Fallujah or somewhere.
