After 9/11 I heard people talking about using nuclear weapons to blow up the Arab world. I used to think that was reactionary and over the top. After this, I don't think that as much.

Faced with the prospect of seeing one American after another being captured, tortured, and savagely beheaded and having the indignity of it all broadcast on the internet, I have a little more understanding as to why Truman brought WWII to an end in the manner he did.

It's ugly and it won't make us any friends. But the Arab threat to the world will be crushed decisively, just like the Japanese threat during WWII was.

It's hard not to come to the conclusions this writer does. Americans bend over backwards to be tolerant and respectful, but I don't think we need to do it to the point of national suicide.

I'm with her. My outrage has not been so great since 9-11-01. I am so angry, I've had to just kind of tune-out the lastest news. That level of anger tends to make me feel ill. I won't feel better until the five "things" who murdered Mr. Berg are painfully and brutally put to death.

I just saw a clip of the "jubilant" Islamist in Gaza parading the head of an Israeli soldier for cameras and people picking up body parts.

I am completely outraged at the actions of these godless barbarians!!!! Even in light of the recent Army scandal at Abu Ghraib, the difference between cultures is plainly visible for all to see. These people are human jackals.
