It is no secret what the media is up to right now. The economy is taking off like a rocket. Jobs are up, and Bush is on track to recover all lost jobs by the election.

Headline? Scandal, what else?

I just got off the phone with my second sister, who had not heard about the beheading. She was most distressed.

We had a long conversation about the media and the war. She is distressed and refuses to watch the news.

I won't fault her for that, because she has a frailer psyche than mine. But I told her that she needs to know that we are in a war between good and evil. She agreed, and will not watch CBS. She also will vote for Bush. I can't ask for more than that.

I have not watched the video. Frankly, I'm scared to watch it, but I know it needs to be seen. This is a fight between good and evil. As a Christian, I can see it, but I still feel helpless. For Mother's Day, my grandson gave me a card. The cover (made on the computer) was a collage of the American Flag, an aircraft carrier, fighter jets, helicopters, and artillery guns. "Happy Mother's Day" was superimposed over it ..

Engage you fellow women by telling them they are ninnies and that the future requires women like our grannies and great grannies who didn't flinch at real life. Those of us who are conservative are also polite. Therefore we tend to not want to cause trouble in social and family discussions. So we tend to keep quiet.

No more. All of us need to expressing outrage. Use this murder of Nick Berg as a talking point. Speak out. Bring it up whenever you hear someone sounding weak. Attack the media at every opportunity...and say that they are greedy and interested in ratings (rather than liberal). Attack them for being greedy and ignoring the well-being of the troops.
