Note the family wants to "put this behind them." A very odd statement indeed. It just happened. And they are expressing sympathy to others who lost kids. The parents are 100% anti Bush and their congressman was in with them today. Supposedly Nick was pro Iraq war.

My point is, was there not a word of condemnation for those who killed him? I mean this wasn't even a close call, seeing your son murdered by fanatics that way.

We may never know how much the family/father makes in the way of $ off the death of his son. I'm certain that the mainstream media and the DNC will be ready to open their checkbooks for dad's bitter rants against Bush.

The Bergs don't have a clue, God help them. They're allowing themselves to be used by people who don't give a damn that their son was hideously murdered by fiends, except as fodder for the RAT pres. campaign. Really sad. Mr. Berg is doubtless one of those people who line up outside prisons with lighted candles when a killer is going to meet his Maker in the big prison in the sky. He's focusing on blaming the US because not only has he lost his beloved son, but if he looked in the mirror, he'd see that his mistaken beliefs sent his son into harms' way. Let's hope and pray that he comes to his senses.

I've got news for them. They can not simply put this behind them for a very long time, if ever. As someone who recently lost a beloved daughter, the pain seems to last forever. I think of her when I wake up and she is my last thought before I go to bed. I could not go to church Sunday because I could not face all the special events on that day. My whole family is grieving and her many friends are too. Jan touched so many lives in her too short lifetime. I am bawling as I write this. It hurts so much.

Sure was. It struck me, too.

What, were they embarrassed their son turned out to be patriotic?

I'd be packing a bag, checking flight schedules to see how soon I could get to Iraq, see if I could find the guys who did it, if it were my son.

Since it's obvious our government's not going to do anything more about this than they did about the guys who were dragged through the streets.
