This one exposes a host of politically-correct lies including - but not limited to:
1. Women are NEVER violent or abusive - only men are.
2. Publicly-funded "child protection" outfits, first and foremost, care about children's well-being.
3. Third world peoples have much to contribute to our North American "multicultural mossiac".

A former school teacher in the mother's home country of Iran testified burning the flesh of disobedient children is an accepted punishment in lower classes of third world countries. You realize, of course, that where she comes from, women are treated in that way and worse as a matter of routine day-to-day life.

Burning little girls is a regular thing in Iran? And, according to a story yesterday, killing surplus female babies seems to be common in Arab countries too.
Yes, it's notable that the mother did this. Although Arab and other Muslim societies are male dominated, and women are treated like property or chattels, the women generally are eager to help enforce the rules.

"Her only intent was to help the child -- throwing her in jail will not help this family,"
So that means that while the mother is in jail, she won't recognize that this sort of behavior will land her in jail, and the child will continue to be burned?

showing her bare chest to the boys This tells me that spoon burning probably wasn't the only type of abuse this little girl was subject to. Sad.

In keeping with the cultural sensitivity we should have the mother executed by stoning.
