I have to think about your question. You are probably right about that. During events like these, my mind goes back to Tailhook91, and the way we were railroaded by Congress, which led to the influx of hundreds of Karpinski-types into the senior ranks. Most of which were also of the orientation I alluded to. Maybe my bias is showing? Could be.
