[history]
To Bernadette Darby, Joseph Darby is the hero husband who sounded the cry about prisoner abuse in Iraq.
But to the upstate woman who says Darby proposed to her, the whistleblower is a lying, two-timing rat.
Julie Eckert, 25, says Darby told her he was divorced before proposing to her in November 2002.

*If* he really was two-timing, he'd be scum. But even then he'd be a better person than any who knew about the abuse and kept quiet.

"Dueling banjos alert!" I'm starting to see why this prisoner abuse deal happened.
Did Darby and his photogenic lot serve in "Deliverance Company," or something? This is all starting to come together for me now and make sense.
Note to Army Chief of Staff: When you put a bunch of reservists from Appalachia in charge of a prison in Iraq, or anywhere else...,"things" might happen.
I think Army Intelligence recognized this and put them to work.

Agree totally with you there.

QUESTION #1: IS HE A REGISTERED DemonRAT?
QUESTION #2: HAS HIS BANK ACCOUNT INCREASED A LOT RECENTLY
QUESTION #3: IS HE A FRIEND OF GEORGE SOROS?
To: Free Trapper
I think you might be right on that account!

From Rumsfeld's opening statement:
There are many who did their duty professionally and we should mention that as well. First, Specialist Joseph Darby, who alerted the appropriate authorities that abuses were occurring.

"What a bunch of trash these people are."
The MTV generation gets its 15 minutes on the world stage and I can't tell it apart from a Jerry Springer show.

This just keeps getting better.

"*If* he really was two-timing, he'd be scum. But even then he'd be a better person than any who knew about the abuse and kept quiet. Before I decided exactly what kind of two timing scum he is, I'll wait until we find out what his incentive was for coming forward with the whistle blowing. For all I know, he got off on all the stuff going on in the prison and enjoyed taking and looking at the pictures. But then, maybe an offer of money came his way or maybe he was just as involved in the abuses, but given immunity to come forward.
Regardless, anybody who would lie to their spouse would lie to anyone. If you have to take a vow before God, family and friends when you marry someone and then break that vow, what good is your word? And when you hurt the ones you love (wife, son, and girlfriend(!)), you are scum. Beware of the Golden Rule.

They deserve each other, I guess, him for being a rat and she for being really, really stupid.
To: kattracks
OK...I am in the dark here. He is the whistleblower? Who took the pictures???
