[the media speaks of "Arabs" as if they are a monolithic group which thinks exactly alike.] I've never been frustrated by it. Having been very familiar with the cultural mindset of Islam, I have believed this all along.

I understand and yet do not agree.

What is a contradiction is the liberals and other morons holding this statement to be true, yet also believing that there are any "innocent" muslims. They are all either active killers, or enablers.

The undercurrent of truth to what you are saying is that it is, indeed, moronic for the media to repeatedly and persistently jam down our throats various permutations of the sentiment "ARABS HATE YOU AND WANT YOU DEAD!!!" day after day after day, and then turn around and complain that we, their readership, seem to have a difficult time (in their eyes) distinguishing the threatening Arabs from the innocent ones.

Apparently we're supposed to treat "Arabs" as a monolithic bloc if that means maximizing how powerful and threatening they appear to us, thus goading us into capitulating to them. But NEVER if it means fighting back in any meaningful way, heaven forbid. To fight back we are required to separately and individually identify and distinguish each individual Arab and prove beyond reasonable doubt his guilt, the presumption being of course that all Arabs (the ones the media just got through saying HATE US AND WANT US DEAD) are innocent and nonthreatening as babes.

Of course, I understand why militant Arabs would welcome this double-standard - it plays right into their ambitions to inflate their fearsomeness and importance, so they can bluster us into capitulation and surrender without fear of real reprisal.

What I don't understand is why the media and the left are so eager to play along, hence my continued frustration at biased use of language such as appears in this headline.
