You are one of the people brainwashed by Wal mart commercials. I worked there for 10 years in loss prevention. In case you don't know what that is...I caught shoplifters and employees who steal from the company, protecting company assets.I had to wear a bullet proof vest because of the violence I encountered daily. I was the top producer in apprehensions in the company and had a 100% conviction rate for everyone I caught stealing. Suddenly one night while attempting to apprehend a repeat offender, a fight broke out. The next day I was fired. The reason: I supposedly used excessive force to subdue the shoplifter. Funny thing is, I was injured in the fight, later required surgery for a crushed nerve and I was assisted in the apprehension by an on duty uniformed police officer. The shoplifter was high on heroin and crack cocaine. To top it all off, they refused to pay for my medical treatment resulting in a lawsuit which took three years to settle, but I won a substantial amount and they were seriously reprimanded by the court. And guess what I am not a member of any union nor will I ever join one. they claim to sell products made in the USA but if you could read, the largest percentage of general merchandise items they sell are form overseas. And apparently you are not aware of the multitude of Federal lawsuits against them now. Wal Mart may be on top now but they are on the verge of going down soon. Just sit back and watch. See where their greed for money gets them.

If all the cases involving Wal-Mart's cheating their employees out of pay came together in one courtroom, Wal-Mart would be in deep yogurt.

That management style really is Old Planter -- civilized face to the public, but rather different rules for the servants.
