That's a good point. At least the man was clean enough to bother doing the arrest and investigation. His constituents helped him out, and it didn't just cruise through his jurisdiction. Come to think of it, his report was probably accurate, too. There's not a lot of room for conjecture or elaborations in police reports. The local media messed it up, though, IMO, by not offering something like, "The nations of origin and preferred political affiliations of the suspects are not known at this time."

I spend hours on this forum every day and I don't remember any stories of Israelis turning up in "smelly" situations.

That's not to say there haven't been a few stories over the years, but I don't think there have been very many.

It does not surprise me at all that Tennessee police called them "Israelis" to the media. When's their next KKK meeting, BTW? Or do they have to return to their group home after work? ...idiots.

I'd assume there are many, many, many more pro-Israeli Christian fundamentalists than Klansmen in Tennessee.

It used to be a decent site for weird stories that didn't get national coverage, kind of like FARK. For the longest time now, it's all lunatic fringe, conspiracy nut, doomsday, anti-semitic, anti-Bush crap. You're lucky if you find one story in 20 that is realistic, and then they kookify it. If they had their way, the world would continually be coming to an end from Fluoride, Mad Cow, man-made viruses, UFOs, Israeli intervention and Republicans.

I'm sure if they could work it out somehow, it would involve cybernetic chimps and evil, hermaphroditic circus clowns as well.

I traded them out for FARK.com a long time ago. It seems like most of the radio DJs are checking FARK and Smoking Gun now too.

The site link is irrelevant. I live here and the story was reported on all the local news stations. I just found that link with a google. The story itself is several years old.

I ran eighteen miles with 55 pounds in less than five hours, carrying a buddy who had a stress fracture part of the way. and a few years after that, in my thirties, twelve miles in full gear in about two hours. ...spent more than three months of my life sleeping up to an hour or two per night in holes in the dirt while the wife fooled around on me back home. Six o'clock news on WJHL, Johnson City.

Showed the suspects in court, but did not share exactly what transpired.

Reporter said that no bond will be set, until the substance in the vial is identified.

Suspects deny throwing anything out of the truck.

Say that they took a wrong turn, which is why they were on 23 instead of I-26.

Reporter said that they are in country legally, and they had recently renewed their passports.

Heard earlier in the day that they were not listed on any watch list. To which I wonder, have they really identified these goobers or not? But, the F.B.I. is on the case, so I guess we can hope for the best.

Have been appointed lawyers. (Of course, they are destitute.) I really hope they are 110% sure before they cut these clowns loose. It's just not passing the smell test.
