This should be shouted from the rooftops. The news media and their moles in the defense department did not need the photos to stop the abuse. They needed them to derail the war on terror, and that is their goal.

You have hit the nail on the head, my friend. This should be shouted from the rooftops. The news media and their moles in the defense department did not need the photos to stop the abuse. They needed them to derail the war on terror, and that is their goal.
One other purpose it was used for was to undermine the administration and this country. I don't know if they have fully succeeded because the Demonrats and the media are not going to let this issue die.
