The whole premise of the article is ass-backwards. It is the leftist who are using the courts to try to create a legal gay marriage. The legislature and voters have already decided against gay marriage.

But you are forgeting that the NYT doesn't give a damn about what the voters decide. Remember, they have so much more "insight and intelligence" than us "little" people. After all they are the "paper of record." If you have questions about this "gospel" of theirs, just ask Maureen Dowd.
