The vast majority of Marxist/socialists haven't a clue to the history of their own ideology and aren't much interested. They were planted in and continue to stay mired in one thing only -- hating America.

They will never even consider Lee Harris' rational discussion of Marxism. The liberals I know, who are mostly red-diaper babies, are incapable of understanding a word of Harris' article because they stopped thinking critically long ago, if they ever had the capacity.

As Harris observed, Marxism claimed to be predicated on a "scientific" view of history.

But Marxism as it exists today is built on a solid foundation of wishful thinking, sustained by nothing more than the religious fervor and blind faith of its adherants.

Viewing liberalism as akin to a religion explains a great deal of the left's behavior. And anti-Americanism serves the same role in their belief system as the crucifixion and resurrection do for Christianity.

Hating us is all they've got left...
