A corrections officer at the State Correctional Institution at Greene is reportedly one of the seven U.S. Army reservists facing court-martial for allegedly abusing Iraqi prisoners.
Cpl. Charles A. Graner Jr. is facing prosecution in Iraq on charges that include conspiracy, dereliction of duty, cruelty toward prisoners, maltreatment, assault and indecent acts, according to the Washington Post.
The Washington Post reported that the soldiers who are facing charges include Graner, Staff Sgt. Ivan "Chip" Frederick, Spec. Megan M. Ambuhl, Sgt. Javal S. Davis, Spec. Sabrina D. Harman and Spec. Jeremy C. Sivits. The seventh suspect, Private Lynndie England, was reassigned to Fort Bragg, N.C., after becoming pregnant.
The Washington Post said it had received sealed charging papers with the information about the seven.
All the soldiers are members of The 372nd Military Police Company, 800th MP Brigade, based in Cumberland, Md...."

I'm not so sure after reading some comments by her father on another thread. He said something to the effect that it wouldn't have been inappropriate for the Iraqi prisoners to have just been hacked to death.

All the good ones are taken, eh? LoL's!
Gee, perhaps at times being at the end of the line at a smorgasbord and being deprived of a full menu at times can be beneficial! ; )

I don't think releasing MORE pics would be wise at this point. They've covered it up for this long :( I just see this compromising everything.

Did this guy have some rank over the others? I'm not sure. Heleft the Marines as a Cpl., but I haven't heard if he had rank over these people.
This was the crew that watched the prisoners during the 10 pm till 4 AM shift I think.
Yes. Apparently his girlfriend, Lynndie England, who had a paper-pushing job, would visit them at night. I guess that accounts for how she got in all the pictures, as well as getting knocked-up.

The pictures were released without authorization. They don't know where CBS got the pictures..but more copies are out there, passed around in emails.

Also Private First Class Lynndie England the women featured in the leash photo and many others is Graner's Fiance.
US shame at prisoner on a leash
".. Holding the leash, and scowling down at her captive, is Private First Class Lynndie England, 21, the seemingly sweet-faced soldier at the heart of the torture scandal engulfing coalition forces in Iraq.
It is the latest in a series of images of Private England and her comrades mistreating Iraqi prisoners at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib jail. Pictures of her and her fiance, former US Marine and prison guard Specialist Charles Graner, humiliating prisoners were first released last week. .."

No breakdown of command discipline in that unit!
Myers said today that Karpinski forced a culture that shunned salutes, hats and other regulatory uniform, and even rank to the extent that PFCs called the Lt. Colonel "Joe" and Sgts. "Jim".

So the guy is a sadistic wife beater as well. Great.

I work in corrections and it's assclowns like this that make doing my job that much harder. where I work we call them "cowboys" and they don't seem to be happy unless they're # 1 in caps on the inspectors S@$T list. You always know when they're on vacation, the block mellows out for a week or so. If every single one of them quit tomorrow, i'd smile all the way to retirement.

"This is the type of thing you get when there is poor supervision and less than through vetting of security personnel."
Thank God I never worked with a POS like this. He would have had the crap beat out of him by the inmates or the other officers who got tired of his $hit.
