Anyone who has seen the Kerry piece from the Dick Cavett show in 1971 would be repulsed. Kerry was the same then as he is now - a pompus, smarmy, nauseating personality who obviously believes he is a superior being. Back then he had the same habit of talking down to an interviewer, with that same phony Boston Brahmin accent and manner - even though he really isn't a Boston Brahmin. Just another fabrication in the Kerry portfolio that includes his "valorous" service in SEA. He is a bugout artist on the level of Bill Clinton, minus the Bill Clinton Good Old Southern Boy cunning and charm. He is a lying dolt, in other words.

I am rather amazed that I have not seen placards saying "John Kerry is the reason Viet Nam vets were spit on when they got home"

I have seen snips of the testimony and his appearance on Dick Cavett and I agree totally with your analysis. I am interested in seeing if the MSM is comparing what he said back then to the Iraqi abuse scandal. If they have I have missed it.

Yea... I saw the O'Neill/Kerry debate on the Cavett show. The guy made sedition in America exceptable behavior. His love of spending other peoples money is a way of life for him... just as not spending a dime of his own.

Lisa Myers just did a piece on the Cavett interview contrasted with a 2001 MTP interview with Russert. Kerry was shown to be a total liar as to his belief about the Vietnam War then and now (2001). Unbelievable spot. Lisa said no one of these contradicting stances by and of itself would be fatal to Kerry but the cumulative effect could be.
