I won't post even one excerpt from one of their stupid papers.
They must not want any hits on their sites anymore.
Fine with me.
But if I see even one LEFT wing site or any neutral site that's getting away with it, I'm going to scream bloody murder.

I'm pretty sure that short excerpts would be covered under Fair Use. In any case, if you see a story you want to post, go to news.google.com and see if another site has the same story. If you see another site linking to one of these papers, point out that they don't allow excerpts. That might cause fewer people to link to these papers. Send fewer hits there way and they'll probably change their policies.

Call their advertisers. That WILL work. They are already having trouble getting people to advertise with them once they figure out that direct advertising is a better and less expensive way to do it. I pulled all of mine from all newspapers when they started trashing President Bush in the last election. And don't forget to tell them why. Business people do care about their customers. Newspapers never really did until they started getting calls to cancel advertising. They always thought that people couldn't get their news from anywhere else so screw you. BIG FAT DO YOU WANT TO BET?!

I wonder if FREEPERS WITH TIME could form a task force and investigate this issue.
It's certainly an important issue.

But if I see even one LEFT wing site or any neutral site that's getting away with it, I'm going to scream bloody murder. An editorial that whined incessantly about humiliation of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison, and was published in the Army Times, Navy Times and Air Force Times, was posted in its entirety on the Guardian, an extremely left-wing site:
