Irish legend has it that their "race" came from the northwest coast of Spain (which is now called Galicia). The legend doesn't make it a fact.

Recent DNA studies show it to be true.

I have some ancestors from the Channel Islands, with a surname with names which are more likely Spanish than not.

I also have several Irish ancestors. With two potential lines, I may begin marking "Hispanic" on various nosy, racist survey questions. Just to piss off and distort things.

I guess I'll be "Esteban" instead of "Stefan."
