My mother who is definitely not a conspiracy buff is convinced that the media storm regarding the photos is a scam to take the heat of the "Food for Oil" scandal.

The whole leftist agenda would be threatened if that scandal really got the attention it deserved. So many important people are involved: Annan, Chirac, the Clintons etc, etc.

The US Army was already on top of things. Investigations were underway and some people were being relieved of their duties.
And then suddenly the photos start to appear both in the USA and in the UK. The photographs of the British soldiers definitely appears to be faked....

Anyway, that's what happen to you when you start out as a lurker on FR ; -)
